Louisville Central 47, Reitz 27

The Panthers suffered their first loss of the season Saturday morning, falling to Louisville Central, Kentucky’s defending 3A champions, 47-27.

After a close call against Henderson last week, the Panthers return to Kentucky again Saturday to face the Yellowjackets of Louisville Central.

This will be the first of a four-game extravaganza at Papa John’s Cardinal Stadium called the Bluegrass Football Classic. Reitz played in it last year, as well, defeating Paducah Tilghman, 28-21.

The Yellowjackets also competed in last year’s event, defeating Goodpasture (Tenn.), 47-34, before going on to win the KHSAA Class 3A State Championship.

This will be the first-ever meeting between the two schools.
