Week 4 GameDay Central, brought to you by Tracy Zeller Jewelry
While Reitz suffered another tough loss Friday night against Castle, there’s no time for the Panthers to lick their wounds. They’ll open city competition against another tough opponent, who also happens to be one of their oldest rivals…the Central Bears.
Central is 2-1 overall and 2-0 in the SIAC & city. Reitz is 1-2, 0-1, 0-0. The teams met twice last season, winning one apiece. Reitz won the regular season encounter, surviving 35-34 in overtime. The Bears extracted revenge eight weeks later in the sectional semifinal, winning 37-35, thus ending the Panthers’ season.
Reitz leads the all-time series, which began in 1921, 66-29-4.
