Reitz at North: #ReitzFootballFriday Week 7 presented by Tracy Zeller Jewelry
The Panthers are back on the road Friday night as they take on the North Huskies.
Reitz, 6-0 overall, 3-0 in the Southern Indiana Athletic Conference and 2-0 in the city, will battle Bret Szabo’s north side squad, which is 1-5, 0-4, 0-4.
The Panthers lead the series, which began in 1957, 48 games to 13, and have won the past eight meetings. The Huskies, however, can be tough. They’ve come close to winning the past two years, and, after Memorial nearly upset Reitz last week, North will be looking to give our team everything they can.
Szabo, in his third year with the Huskies, is 7-20 at the school and 69-64 overall. He is 0-4 against the Panthers, including two sectional losses in 2003 and 2006 when he was at Bedford North Lawrence.
Andy Hape holds a 2-0 edge over North and is 25-6 in his third year with Reitz.
Kickoff is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Bundrandt Stadium.
